Start scene after input pulse within time slot

Posted on:

At Doorcy, we continue to improve our systems based on practical experience. Recently, it became apparent that it would be easier for many users if a scene could only be started after an input pulse within a time slot. Starting a scene after an input pulse was already possible, but from now on it is also possible to set a time slot as a condition for starting a scene.

An additional feature has been added to the app that ensures a scene can only be started if the input is given and falls within the specified time slot.

After an input pulse is given (for example, because someone with a reservation is standing at the door and opens it), the system checks whether there are any active reservations at that moment. A scene will no longer start automatically simply because the reservation time has started. Instead, a scene is only activated after the input pulse has been given. If a scene does not need to be started by an input pulse, it can still be started automatically.

Why was this feature added?

This is useful when groups have reserved a room. Only when someone arrives at the door of the reserved room does the entire scene activate. This means that consumption is only possible when someone is actually present. An administrator can, of course, always override this scene.
