A stable internet connection is essential for using the Doorcy app. However, that connection sometimes fails users, precisely when they want to open a door or activate a scene.
Until recently, users experiencing connection problems would only see the message 'Code invalid'. This message sometimes raised more questions than it answered. With the new internet check in the Doorcy app, users now know immediately where the problem lies.

We have replaced the confusing "Code invalid" message with a much clearer warning. The Doorcy app now actively checks the internet connection and, if there are any problems, displays a prominent red message bar with the text "No internet connection." This leaves no doubt about what is going on. This message helps users immediately understand why certain features are temporarily unavailable.
Previously, a missing internet connection caused confusion, especially when you wanted to enter an access code. You would see the message 'Code invalid' on the same screen where you had to enter your code, which logically suggested that there was something wrong with the code itself, not with the internet connection.
Previous situation: 'Code invalid' message in the code entry screen, causing users to unnecessarily try to re-enter their code.
New situation: Clear red warning bar that immediately indicates that the problem lies with the internet connection.
No more confusion between an incorrect code and a connection problem.
The solution is immediately apparent: check your internet connection.
This improvement makes using the Doorcy app much more intuitive. Users immediately recognize the real problem, so they no longer waste time unnecessarily re-entering the access code. Because they can see right away that it is an internet problem, they can take the appropriate action more quickly. This ensures a smoother experience and prevents unnecessary frustration when logging in.
